I’m trying to get more information about NOFC but none of the links on this page are working. They all just take me back to the home page.

We are fixing the website as I write this. The links should be better very, very soon.

In the meantime, write info@nolafoodcoop.org with questions and I will direct you to the person for the information you are seeking.

I first heard of Buyers Clubs on Good Morning America. I went on the GMA website and linked to United Buying Clubs. When I called and spoke with Cory, He gave me info. to contact you. I still am unsure about what the club is. My impression from their website was a couple of people get together and place a minimum order per month and save money while doing so. If I am wrong, please let me know. Please send me more info. on how to quallify for a buyers club or call me @ 225-719-0231. 9081 Beechgrove Rd, Clinton, La. 70722. Thank You.

I would like to join the co-op but I am confused about the store location and who it would service.

Is this a Marigny / Bywater Food Co-op, or a New Olreans Food co-op. Wouldn’t it make more sense to call it a Marigny / Bywater Food Co-op? There has been plenty of space in other neighborhoods to “settle” into, why not just start at a central city location?

i am a bit confused about your coop. the coops that i have been belonged to in the past (the wedge in minneapolis and the park slope food coop in brooklyn) were two of the largest and well run coops in the country. each had very clear guidelines to their membership. usually, one of those guidelines was based on working. that is what the cooperative is all about. i feel like you guys only want money. if that is the case, why don’t you just open a natural food grocery store and find an investor? unless you have a staff that works in exchange for discounted food, your coop will never truly be a coop. the “volunteer” does not exist in this type of situation. are you going to be a true food coop?
